Dortmund Sparkassen 2003

Welcome dear ICC members and chess fans out there.
It's summer time - it's hot - and the boards are
burning again. I am Chriss Lass and I will bring you
some pictures from Dortmund every day as well as some
backstage informations.
Dortmund 2003 will be an exciting tournament: The
super GMs Vladimir Kramnik, Vishy Anand and Peter Leko
are facing an all new challenge this year: three chess
underdogs - ready and willing to fight: Victor
Bologan, Teimour Radjabov and the young Arkadi
Najditch.
Today - the day before move number one - the
traditional opening press conference took place at the
Dortmund town hall. A lot of official talking today -
but hey - the only thing the audience wanted to know
was "When will Kramnik play Leko for the WCC title?"
Sorry, no comment from the players. But there is a
little light: Kramnik mentioned chances for a
statement at the final press conference. Rumors
anyone? OK. Let's start one: Maybe they announce a WCC
fight in Dortmund...
