In addition to kibitzing, examiners can take advantage of some wonderful advanced graphical aids by various combinations of shift/alt/ctrl and the right and left mouse buttons.

[CONTROL+LEFTclick]: Flashing squares -- Hold down the CONTROL key and LEFT click on the square or drag a rectangle which you wish to highlight. (Example) |
| [CONTROL+RIGHTclick]: Flashing pieces -- Hold down the CONTROL key and RIGHT click over the piece, or drag over a rectangle to select all pieces in range. To stop a piece from flashing, repeat. (Example) |
| [RIGHTclick or SHIFT+LEFTclick]: Colored squares -- You can RIGHT click with your mouse or hold down the SHIFT key and LEFT click over the square you wish to highlight. You can also left click and drag a rectangle of squares. If you would like to choose a different color while seleting a square or group of squares, add ALT to the key combination: SHIFT+ALT+LEFT click. When you release the mouse button, you will be prompted to choose a color. (Example). |

| Q: How do I remove an arrow or other analysis items I placed on the board? |
| A: You can remove the graphical aids sequentially without moving a piece by pressing this key combination: CONTROL + SHIFT + LEFT click. |
| Q: Why did all the analysis items disappear from the board? |
| A: If you move any piece, all analysis items vanish immediately. |
| Q: Is there a way to remove all the analysis items on the board at once, without moving a piece? |
| A: Yes. This key combination will remove all the items at once: CONTROL + SHIFT + ALT + RIGHT click |
| Q: Why can't I place any more analysis items on the board? |
| A: There is a limit of 127 items on the board at once. You can undo some some or all of the previous analysis items and continue. |
