Change Settings
In the Options menu there is a Change Settings menu allowing you to set a host
of options at once. It allows you to quickly configure BlitzIn to settings that
you are used to. There are three settings, BlitzIn 1, BlitzIn 2, and BlitzIn
2.5. When you select one of these, a message box will appear, letting you know
what changes will be made and giving you a choice to cancel the selection.
BlitzIn 1 Settings
Choosing BlitzIn 1 from the Change Settings menu will set your colors to the classic
BlitzIn 1 color scheme, turn off the Toolbar and Status Bar, and give you a game
console two lines high in order to provide more room for the board. You will also get a gray background for the game board and the main application background will be a the same color of gray that matches BlitzIn 1. It will close
all extra windows that are open except for game boards and consoles. It will use
a board and piece set similar to BlitzIn 1.
In addition most of the extra features of BlitzIn 2+ are turned off. These
include Move Animation, Show Captured Pieces, Confirm Resignations, Challenge
Popups, and the Fast Time Control Warning.
BlitzIn 2 Settings
Choosing BlitzIn 2 from the Change Settings menu will set your colors to the classic
BlitzIn 1 and 2 color scheme, resize to normal any consoles changes by BlitzIn
1 settings that have not already been resized, and give you the classic BlitzIn
2 game board style and pieces. This includes the white game board background like BlitzIn 2. You can select the gray board background in Options/ Board Window, if you prefer that. The main application background will be set to the same gray as to match BlitzIn 2. It will also restore your Toolbar, enable Show
Captured Pieces, and turn on Confirm Resignations if these are off. It does not turn off any features like
the BlitzIn 1 settings, and may be a good choice who are used to and prefer the
BlitzIn 2 color scheme.
BlitzIn 2.5 Settings
Choosing BlitzIn 2.5 from the Change Settings menu sets your text and channel
colors to the BlitzIn 1 and 2 color scheme. The main aplication background will be changed to the gradient background. You can set the application background to the color of your choice if you want with Options/ Colors/ Solid Background.
It changes your game board to the BlitzIn 2.5 style and, like the BlitzIn
2 settings, will resize any consoles with the BlitzIn 1 height that have not
been resized. Like the BlitzIn 2 settings, it will restore your Tool Bar,
Show Captured Pieces options, and Confirm Resignations. Also the game board background will be made white if you have a gray background. Again this can be changed back if you prefer gray in Options/ Board Window.
