Getting a Game

BlitzIn 2.5 makes getting a game easier in several ways. For example, there is a now a Seek a Game button on the game board. Seeking a game allows you to place an ad for a game on the Seek Graph for others to click on. More about the Seek Graph below.

A seek, which is an offer to eligible players to play, is placed on the Seek Graph. To open the Seek Graph go to Window / Seek Graph and select it. If it's already selected, but not the top window, it will bring it to the top. If it's the top window, selecting that option again in the windows menu will close the window. This is new behavior in BlitzIn 2.5 and affects the Info window, Seek Graph, Notify window and Events List.

Once the Seek Graph is selected it will appear on the screen as is shown below. You'll notice there is a Seek a Game button in the upper right allowing you to use the Seek Graph both to answer and place ads and a key button.

Clicking on the key button shows what the different seek colors mean. Though the key window is always on top, you can keep it open and still click on the Seek Graph to answer an ad. If a game starts, the key window will disappear on its own without you having to close it.

Another change in BlitzIn 2.5 is challenge popups are clearer about what you are being challenged to.

As can be seen from above, the time control is in large bold letters to make it stand out. If the game were a wild game the time control would be in the color of that wild as it would appear in the Seek Graph. For most wilds this is red. This makes wilder challenges easier to spot. Also, time odds challenges and challenges where the color is forced are highlighted in dark red.
