"I often have hours of sleepless nights. What a godsend ICC is then! There is always a companion somewhere in the world to keep me company over a game." — Peter Brooker
Your graphical interface software (typically Blitzin) will provide
the easiest way to do most things on ICC. Explore its menu,
read its documentation on the web, and/or just try clicking on things
(try the right button as well as the left).
But you can also do things by typing commands. Here are some
commands to try:
seeking -- offer to play anyone
5-minute -- play blitz (the system will pair you with an opponent)
say Hello -- say something to your opponent
draw -- request a draw in your game
resign -- give up in your game
finger -- display your ratings and notes
who -- list the users currently logged in
play WimpC -- play the computer opponent WimpC
observe * -- watch a high-level game
whisper Hello -- chat with the other observers of a game
events -- list current activities
extend -- pay to extend your membership
quit -- exit ICC
And here are some help files you should know about. To view any of these,
just click on it, or type 'help' and the topic.
