Can you see text in links like help hyperlinks in your ICC text
console? If not, there is a feature in Windows XP that allows you to
customize hyperlink colors for all programs.
Unfortunately, it usually defaults to black or blue, and in most
interfaces which connect to ICC black is the default background.
This makes the hyperlinks appear invisible - however, clicking on
the invisible link between the quotes will send you to the linked
page or file.
To make hyperlinks visible on ICC in windows XP:
- Right click an empty spot on your Windows desktop
- Choose "Properties" to get Display Properties window
- Select the "Appearance" tab
- Click the "Advanced" button
- Choose "Selected Items" from the popup menu
- Change the color on the line with "Font:"
- Click OK
- Click OK again.
- You might see "Please Wait" for about 10 seconds
If this doesn't work, your console background may also have to
be set to absolute black. In BlitzIn:
- Choose Options->Colors->Text from the menus
- Next to "Background" click the "color..." button
- Click "Define Custom Colors"
- Red, Green, and Blue should all be 0. If not, set them to 0.
- Click OK
- Click OK again
If you have question, please ask in channel 1 on ICC.
