"League of Losers"

The League of Losers (from here on referred to as the LOL) are a collection of Wild 17 players (i.e. "Losers"). We are made up of the strongest Wild 17 players on the Internet Chess Club server. For information on how to play Wild 17, please read news 638 and help Losers.

Our rules are very simple:

1. The LOL tourneys are 7-round 1 0 r Wild 17 for Part 1, and 5-round 3 1 r Wild 17 for Part 2. Both tourneys will be run on WildOne in channel 223. (type "+ch 223" to add the WildOne channel to your channel list) Points and statistics are kept on the server and can be reviewed at any time. The way to see the stats for each section are:

For Thursday Events:

"tell tomato series best lol-t-jan" if the current month was January.

Replace jan with the first 3 letters (lower case only) for the month you want to view: lol-t-feb, lol-t-mar, lol-t-apr, etc.

For Saturday Events:

"tell tomato series best lol-s-jan" if the current month was January.

Replace jan with the first 3 letters (lower case only) for the month you want to view: lol-s-feb, lol-s-mar, lol-s-apr, etc.

For Month-To-Date Standings (The combined Thursday and Saturday events for the entire month):

"tell tomato series best lol-jan"

Replace jan with the first 3 letters (lower case only) for the month you want to view: lol-feb, lol-mar, lol-apr, etc.

2. Currently there are two different days per week in which events are held that count towards the LOL standings:

Thursday nights at 8pm server time (20:00) and Saturday afternoons at 1pm server time (13:00). In case we have an even number of players just before scheduled starting time, the tournament can start up to about 30 seconds earlier.

One 7-round 1 0 Wild 17 tourney, and one 5-round 3 1 Wild 17 tourney, will be held back-to-back on those days.

Individuals can join each event 15 minutes prior to the start time by typing: tell WildOne join

To latejoin while the 1 0 tourney is in rounds 1-4, type: tell WildOne latejoin

To latejoin while the 3 1 tourney is in rounds 1-2, type: tell WildOne latejoin

The tourney manager will be glad to help you in any way they can.

3. Prizes will be awarded at the end of each month. Prizes awarded as follows:

- Saturday Overall--1 month
- Thursday Overall--1 month
- Saturday and Thursday Overall-- 1 month
- Saturday and Thursday 2nd------ 2 weeks
- Sat. and Thu. Most Games Played Overall---- 1 month
- Sat. and Thu. Most Games Played 2nd-------- 2 weeks
