Round six by Chriss Lass
Radjabov, Kramnik Don't we all wish to draw with the world champion? Well, young Teimour Radjabov did today. He was glad to accept Kramik's draw offer after move 23. Too bad for Kramnik who badly needed today's full point to get closer to Bologan on the scoreboard. For Radjabov, the draw was the nice chance to leave last place in the standings.

Replay Radjabov - Kramnik 1/2

Bologan, Naiditsch Next board? Viorel Bologan against young Arkadi Najditch. Poor Arkadi was playing the black pieces today and defended bravely. But after Bologan's 36th move, young Arkadi had to resign. Viorel took the full point today and keeps the lead with incredible 5 out of 6 points. You are still betting on other tournament winners? I think after today it becomes impossible to stop the tiger.

Replay Bologan - Naiditsch 1-0

Leko, Anand Najdorf Sicilian time again in Dortmund. Today: Peter Leko vs. Vishy Anand. It was the only game today that made time control number one at move forty. Anand was showing nice fighting spirit and was finally able to defeat Leko. This was an important point for Anand. Maybe this win gets him back into play - into the race for second place.

Replay Leko - Anand 0-1

GM Vlastimil Hort It is hot in Germany these days. But sometimes you can spot some grandmasters sitting in the air-conditioned press center. They are always willing to dsicuss the position with journalists, friends or amateurs. Last week I found the chess legend GM Hort who always stops by for one or two days during the yearly Dortmund tournament to share a cigar with me and other chess friends.
