1: I enjoy chess, but I enjoy my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ even more. I
was born on July 25, 1957 and born again on March 31, 1970. "For God so loved
the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
2: I have everlasting life because of what Jesus did for me on the cross, Do
You? Being born again is necessary because we are born in sin and spiritually
dead. Being born again means repenting of your sins and trusting in Christ
as your personal Lord and Saviour (Saviour from hell)
3: 1 John 5:13 says that we can know that we have everlasting life. Romans
3:10 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
4: Because of our sins we deserve to be punished by God in a literal hell.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..." not a physical death but a
spiritual death or separation eternally from God, Revelations 20:14 "And
death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. "
5: The last part of Romans 6:23 says "...But the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord." We don't go to heaven because we are good we
go to heaven because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.
