Texas Tech awards its first official chess scholarships to three young women at the "Susan Polgar National Open for Girls" (Jan 06). Three more were awarded at the "Susan Polgar World Open for Girls" in Las Vegas (June 2006).

Ask about our chess scholarships. Currently Tech has a limited but growing number of scholarships with a value ranging from $1,000 to $9,000 per academic year. Four year scholarships may thus have total value of up to $37,000.
