 7: Vendors advertising serious improvement after 2-3 lessons or 5 blitz games
  should be sentenced to death :-) The truth is that it takes months or even
  years to become a better chess player. Long term commitment and hard work are
  crucial.
 8: STATISTICS: January 2000 - December 2009 (10 years): 5674 lessons on ICC
  (96% of them 2 hour sessions); 138 students.
 9: Average rating increase after 20 lessons (that's a minimum to show a real
  objective improvement) - 173 rating points (ICC standard rating). U1500
  gained on average 255, 1500-1800 192, 1800-2200 around 112 (but close to 200
  after 50 lessons).
