  Chess Praxis

Chess by (Chernev), and Secrets of Chess Tactics (Dvoretsky) recommended
  for 1800+ players.
8: Strategy : Well start off with the hypermodern (Ludek Pachman) Modern
  Chess Strategy, 2 or 3 volumes i forget. :-) then try (edward Lasker's )
modern chess stratey to refresh yourself. And when you are ready to move on
to modernized stuff : The Art of Defense by Soltis, Mastering
