 1: I come here for the chat as much as the chess. I'm into Philosophy (110),
  Religion (103), Science (107), and Politics (97). Find me in the channels if
  that's your thing. Especially in the Philosophy channel. We need more good,
  active thinkers in there.
 2: I believe that Chess is more than a mere game. I believe that in it's early
  days, when the game was considerably different than it is today, it was used
  by teachers of esoteric doctrine to teach Universal Laws & Principles to
  their apprentices.
 3: I believe that even today, in the modern version of chess, it is possible
  to discern some of these Universal Laws & Principles as some of the fragments
  of their teachings remain in the game.
 4: For those who are seeking Great Knowledge and a way out of the morass in
  which we are, I recommend reading Dan Millman's "Way of the Peaceful
  Warrior", Carlos Castaneda's entire series of books, and P.D. Ouspensky's
  entire series of books,
 5: particularly "In Search of the Miraculous" and "The Fourth Way".
 6: I do not wish to play computers so please don't use one. I personally feel
  that anyone who uses computers during play without a (C) handle should be
  horsewhipped, fined, jailed for a few weeks, and banned from the ICC, FIDE,
  and all other reputable chess organizations for life.
 7: I will consider giving takebacks in the case of a 'mouseslip'. I've been
  known to do this myself, and I have asked for and received takebacks from
  many courteous players. If it looks like an accidental drop, I'll give it to
  you. If I'm not sure, it depends on who's winning!!!
 8: I like to chat to a moderate degree during play. Feel free to talk during
  our games if you wish, especially if it breaks your concentration!
 9: I live in the boring, mundane, yet safe city of Columbus, Ohio, USA where
  there are very  few good jobs or hot women, but plenty of cows, cornfields,
  rednecks, and rogue cops. If  you live near me, send me an email and let's
  meet for some good chess or talk.
