NEWS 1847 (4-Apr-06)  Play Tournaments on the Internet Chess Club!
The Internet Chess Club holds over 500 tournaments every week!
There are 81 scheduled weekly events, as well as hundreds of impromptu
tournaments for bullet, blitz, standard, and wild variations.
For the seventh year running, ICC hosted the Internet chess event of
the year. Nearly 2,000 members registered to play in the 2006 Dos
Hermanas tournaments as they featured a prize fund of 6,100 Euros
and several years of ICC memberships. GM Fabian Doettling took first
place and the 1,600 Euro cash prize. For full details, visit:

The 2006 3 0 Blitz Championship starts April 8th! These exciting
tournaments are very popular as many of ICC's top Blitz players hope
to win the title currently held by last years champion, StarkL(FM).

The largest Tomato tournament marathon ever was held on March 11-12th.
A record 1,220 players played in 207 tournaments over the 24-hour period.
