NEWS 1825 (28-Sep-05)  LIVE COVERAGE of the FIDE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The Internet Chess Club will broadcast the FIDE World Championship,
which is taking place in San Luis, Argentina from September 28 -
October 15.
The world's top Grandmasters will compete to determine the FIDE
Champion. Vying for the title are:
GM Viswanathan Anand, India, 2788 Rank 2-3
GM Veselin Topalov, Bulgaria, 2788 Rank 2-3
GM Peter Leko, Hungary, 2763 Rank 4
GM Peter Svidler, Russia, 2738 Rank 7
GM Judit Polgar, Hungary, 2735 Rank 8
GM Michael Adams, England, 2719 Rank 13
GM Alexander Morozevich, Russia, 2707 Rank 14
GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov, Uzbekistan, 2670 Rank 35
ICC members are welcome to observe and discuss the games with other
spectators. On the ICC finger FIDE05 for standings and finger Live
for current games. The games will also be listed in the Blitzin 2 event
window (Window-->Events), where you can click the observe icon to watch.
ICC will also present live audio commentary for a number of the games.
Grandmasters Akobian and Fedorowicz will be the on-air commentators
and Grandmaster Kaidanov will be on-site, live, to conduct interviews,
give color commentary and provide a daily wrap-up. For the live audio,

Coverage will begin each day at 2pm ICC time (18:00 GMT). Rest days
are October 2, 7, 12.
Guests who want to participate in the game discussions or listen to
live audio commentary on Chess.FM are encouraged to register a trial
