NEWS 1820 (1-Sep-05)  Play Tournaments on the Internet Chess Club!
The Internet Chess Club holds over 500 tournaments every week! There
are 74 scheduled events weekly, as well as hundreds of impromptu
tournaments for bullet, blitz, standard, and wild variations.
ICC will be hosting a special prize tournament at 3pm server time on
September 3rd. DVDs of the documentary "Game Over: Kasparov and the
machine" will be given away in an 11-round 3 0 Swiss tournament. See
help GameOver for details on this special event.
The next 24-hour Tomato tournament Marathon will be held
September 10-11th. There will be five sections and dozens of
membership-extension prizes; see help marathon.
The 5 0 Blitz Championship ran from August 13-20th. Over 400 players
participated, and the winners were:
Open: Super13
u2000: Chisel
Next up is the 15 0 Championship in October. See help Championship

The 2005 ICC Atomic (w27) and Fischer-Random (w22) Championships ran
from August 19-27th. MoltenThinker won the 1 0 w27 section and
Wolfgang won the 4 2 w22 section. The next Wild Championship will
