NEWS 1617 (3-Jul-02)
July Marathon Tournament at Chessclub.com, July 13-14

On Saturday, July 13th, the Tomato family of automated TDs will
begin yet another 24-hour marathon of tournaments!  These will
be divided into 6 sections.  There will be 3 classes (1700+,
1400-1700 and U1400) for the blitz players and 3 alternate tournaments
for non-blitz players (1 0, 15 0, and 3 1 w17).

The first tournaments will commence at exactly 12:00 noon server time
(EST) on Saturday, July 13th and the marathon will conclude at the end
of any tournaments ongoing on Sunday, at 11:59 am server time July 14th.

The winners in each of the 6 sections will receive prizes.  Winners
will be determined by cumulative number of points scored in the event.
There are also prizes for Best Blitz u2000 and Best Bullet u1800.
