WOLC: GM Hawkeye stays a perfect 15/15!

On Sunday, 3 December 2000, the World Organization
of Lightning-Chess held its 5th "Week-ENDer" event
of the 2000-1 season in Channel 21 (WOLC channel)
at ChessClub.com, in which 10 participants from
the USA and Germany (with an average rating of
2294!) participated.

After 5 exciting rounds of action, one of FIDE's
newest GMs, "Hawkeye," emerged with a perfect
score, 15/15 to win his 15th WOLC event (out
of 15 tries)!  With 11.5/15, theconquerer 
finished in 2nd.  You can see the final cross-

The win earned Hawkeye $20 and 25 Grand Prix Points,
which were enough to put Hawkeye back in the lead
of the 2000-1 Season Grand Prix race (a year-long
contest sponsored by the WOLC).  Yet, as Hawkeye's
125 GPP are only 7 ahead of WhiteHorse (with 118),
who is 3 ahead of Dr-EL (in 3rd, with 115), and
the season not even at the half-way point, this race
