NEWS 1433 (11-Oct-00)  BGN World Championship - Kasparov v. Kramnik on Chessclub.com!
The Brain Games Network World Chess Championship between
Garry Kasparov and Vladimir Kramnik begins on Sunday,
October 8. Chessclub.com will cover the match, and supply
Grandmaster commentary, guess-the-move contests, and --last
but not least-- brilliant and witty banter by our esteemed
members.
The 16-game match will take place in London, England, with
games every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 3pm
London time or 10am Chessclub.com time. Prize money is
$2,000,000 US. All 16 game will be played. In case of an
8-8 tie, Kasparov retains his title.
Everyone is welcome to "observe" the games and "kibitz"
comments with the other spectators. To see only the
commentary by titled players, including our special
Grandmaster commentators, you can "set kib 2". To see all
comments, which may overwhelm your screen, "set kib 1"!
finger KK2000 on Chessclub.com will give you specific
information about the game number to observe and the current
standings. The games will also be listed in the Event List
in Blitzin, where you can click on the icon to watch while
they are in progress.
We will store the games in "liblist KK2000". Check out
help Cool-Libs for a listing of all the libraries of top
tournaments, matches and players. As always, you can get
live help on Chessclub.com in the help channel: "tell 1 I
want to know ...".
